Creating an account collects your email address and a password (stored as a salted, one-way hash — we never see or store the password itself). Placing an order additionally collects your Android app's package name (once you paste your Play Console testing link), the notes you give our testers about your app, and your order/payment history. Payment is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
Your email identifies your account and orders. Your app's package name and setup notes are used only to coordinate testing with our tester network — please don't include real account credentials in the notes field; describe a demo/test login instead. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We use Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand traffic and improve the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and may collect your IP address and device information; Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and does not track you across sites. We also record first-party usage events (e.g. which pages are viewed) tied to your order, not sold or shared with third parties. To know which site first sent you to us when you switch browsers, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address that changes every day (never the address itself) for at most two days. This site does not currently show third-party advertising.
Your dashboard is protected by your account's email and password, not a shared link. Logging in issues a session token stored in your browser's local storage; logging out or changing your password ends that session. Keep your password private — anyone who has it can see your orders.
Ordering a QA & Performance audit may involve uploading your app's build (APK/AAB) or configuration files (e.g. Gradle, manifest, pubspec). We never ask for source code, keystores, signing passwords, private keys, API secrets, or any file containing credentials, and our upload form rejects filenames that look like they contain that kind of material. Uploaded files are used only to run the audit you ordered and are automatically deleted from our storage a fixed number of days after your report is delivered (or after a set maximum if an order never reaches that point) — see our Terms & Conditions for the exact retention window.
We use a small number of service providers to run this business, each only for the purpose listed: Stripe for payment processing (we never see or store your card details), Cloudflare for hosting, our database, file storage, and Web Analytics, and Google Analytics 4 for site analytics (see "Analytics & cookies" above). Real human testers assigned to a Closed Testing order see your app's package name, app name/icon, and the setup notes you provide them — never your account email or payment details. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for marketing purposes.
Testers14 is based in Canada, but our service providers (Stripe, Cloudflare, Google) operate infrastructure in multiple countries, including the United States. Your data may therefore be processed outside Canada, subject to those providers' own safeguards.
Passwords are stored as a salted, one-way hash, never in plain text. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to customer data is limited to what our team needs to fulfill orders and provide support. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected customers and any authority we're legally required to notify, without undue delay.
Account and order data is retained for as long as your account is active plus the period required for accounting and tax purposes (generally up to 7 years for financial records, under Canadian requirements). QA upload files are deleted automatically on the schedule described above, well before that. You may request deletion of your account data at any time — see "Your rights" below.
You can ask us, at any time, to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it's inaccurate, or delete it (subject to what we're required to keep for accounting/legal reasons). To exercise any of these, email us at the address below from your account's email address so we can verify the request. We aim to respond within 30 days.
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, contact us first at the email below — most concerns can be resolved directly. If you're not satisfied with our response and you're in Canada, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if applicable, your provincial privacy regulator.
Questions about this policy, or to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at info@testers14.com. Testers14 is the party responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
